If culture acts as a process of signification, a means of producing meaning that shapes worldviews, learning in museums and other cultural organisations is potentially dynamic and profound, producing self-identities..

I currently work as as Assistant Director – Programs and Partnerships at ACT Historic Places managing a team to develop innovative exhibitions, public programs and learning programs for three historic sites; Lanyon Homestead, Mugga Mugga Cottage and Calthorpes’ House; which include architectural and social history; visual art, indigenous, and green collections.

Previously I worked as Senior Education Designer at Canberra Institute of Technology, developing engaging flexible online learning solutions and high quaility digital resources for TAFE teachers and students. My prior CIT role was as Lecturer, Visual Art and Design – in which I delighted in educating passionate art students. Other work experience includes working in education and; project, event, exhibition and program management; in art galleries, museums and government departments with highlights being Indigenous Visual Arts, the National Gallery of Australia and the National Museum of Australia.

Concurrently I run a business as a Professional Practicing Artist and regularly exhibit in public art installations, group and solo exhibitions. My last last major art exhibition was ‘Canberra Journeys’ for Woolley St Dickson, 2019. I have an obsession with colour, circles,  pattern and  the delights of perspex; and my work deals with the themes of abstraction, symbolism, ornamentation, colour, play, place, community, architecture, emotion, memory, sustainability and transformation. I live in a hot pink house, and when not attempting to transform society though education and museum programs I make art in my studio at m16artspace. I delight in making the world more colourful, parenting my gorgeous children, managing my menagerie of pets and attempting to grow edible food.
