● managing the National Arts and Crafts Industry Support (NACIS) program which funds Indigenous art centres and peak bodies in remote and regional Australia
liaising and negotiating with Indigenous Art Centre Managers, Indigenous artists and Commonwealth government staff of all levels around Australia to ensure the smooth running of the NACIS program
● providing advice and recommendations on a range of Indigenous visual arts sector issues
researching and preparing reports, discussion papers, guidelines, briefing material, and ministerial and other correspondence
● representing the Department and liaising with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders including the Minister’s Office, Indigenous organisations, government, non-government organisations and the general public
● supervising the day-to-day work of team members to promote the achievement of team outcomes, including the management of staff performance and development
Major achievements: Ministers brief – art centre tour, NACIS Submission Kit and Guidelines 2008-2009, managing governance and contractual changes for art centres due to NT Local Government Reforms 2007
